Geo-Spatial Knowledge Contest is an On-line contest meaning, entries submitted in digital form will be entertained.
Entry submission to the contest is completely free and there is NO Registration/Participation fees.
All the shortlisted candidates will be invited to Award Function, scheduled to be held in February 2017 at New Delhi (Exact Date and Venue will be updated on Web-Site). We will provide reimbursements of train tickets (2nd AC/AC Chair Car) for short distance (less than 500KM from Delhi) and Economy Class Air Fair for long distances. We will also provide accommodation during stay at Delhi. GeoITHub organizers will take all possible care of participants during stay at Delhi however we are not responsible for any kind of mental loss, physical loss to the person concerned, while attending or before/after the event.
All participants will receive a participation certificate from GeoITHub (Subject to Qualifying blog content criteria). All entries received will be eligible for show-casing at GeoITHub website, subject to moderation.
GKC is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries.
Applicants will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in connection with submitting the Application.
Applicants agree to the use of their name and likeness in publicity without notice or any additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. The winner acknowledges that GKC has the right to publicize and broadcast the winner’s name, voice, and likeness, the fact that they won, and all matters incidental there to.
By entering a Contest, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your Entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect. The GKC program organizers reserve the right to verify any information contained in your Entry and/or your eligibility to enter a Contest.
The GKC Program Organizers reserve the right in their absolute discretion to disqualify any entrant if they have reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the Rules, any applicable law (including copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property of any other person. Each entrant acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with the Rules could lead to the GKC Program Organizers disqualifying that person, without giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.
Prizes are non-transferable. In the event of a prize being unavailable for any reason, the GKC Program Organizers reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.
GKC reserves the right to terminate the Contest without awarding the Prize if no eligible winner claims the Prize within the required time.
The GKC Program Organizers accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant in entering the Contest, including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize.
We will give 15 days’ time to all applicants after declaration of prize, if any applicant claims (with proof) that some other applicant used their work (research/thesis etc.). So, please intimate it (within mentioned time period) to GKC Program Organizer by sending the email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
All information related to update or change of program, shortlisting of winner etc will be displayed only on website (geoithub.com) and no separate communication through Email/Phone/By-Post will be done to participants.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, the conduct or results of the Contest, or any other matter relating to a Contest, the decision of the GKC Program Organizers shall be final and unchallengeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by GKC Program Organizers. All matter related to any dispute/copy-right shall be governed by the laws of India and applicable court of law will High Court of Delhi only.
